Do supermarkets even report or prosecute for shoplifting under £200. I see so many people at the checkout not even scanning half of their shopping 😕. Is that what this country is becoming.

Shops do report thefts under £200 but quite possibly often just the persistent offenders or the most blatant offenders. Different stores may have different policies around when and who they report. Police and court action is taken against people for thefts of much lower values than this every day.
