Best reacting pen?

I have recently been manually redacting alot of documents and have now bought several different pens to do this which have been advertised as redacting pens with complete coverage.

None of the pens so far have given full coverage and the text can still be faintly seen even after photocopying.

Does anyone have any recommendations please for a good redacting pen?

Sorry, typo in the title, I meant to write 'redacting' pen.

We do our redactions digitally these days so no recommendations re a pen. Before that we used to use redaction tape and then photocopy - it was fiddly and not sure how easy that is to find now but tipp-ex or tipp-ex tape might do the job?

Pre digital redaction software, we used to use a tippex mouse and then photocopy (with the contrast turned down a notch or two)

I remember many years ago when FOI came in we could order pens that were 'suitable for redacting'. I think they were just thick sharpies.

If you want a reaction pen, dd has one which is bright orange with wiggly bands coming out the end and it lights up when you hit it off something. Very reactive.

Thank you all so much for your help. I will try using the Tippex and buying an extra thick Sharpie.

Can you not do it digitally? Would make your life a lot easier!

I have tried, but the font of the documents is small and there are numerous pages which need redacting, days worth of work which will be ongoing. So if I can do it manually to a good standard that would be my first preference.
