I am due to receive a small inheritance in the coming months - only about 5k.

However the inheritance is from outside of the UK - can anyone please advise if I need to do something about tax or is it fine because it's inheritance?

You don't have to report this to HMRC. However, you should keep thorough records in case you need to show where the money came from.
