Hi all, can anyone please help with what my accrued holiday pay should be in the following situation:
Start of employment - 14/04/25
Last work day (redundancy) - 13/11/25
Holiday year runs from 1st Jan.
38 days holiday (incl bank hols)
16 days taken (incl 5 bank hols)
Salary £24,100

I have spoken to ACAS who were helpful but aren’t allowed to provide an actual figure.

Thank you

I think you'd be owed just over 6 days.

Agree ostensibly 22-16=6 but it depends how it is written in contract. If bh are counted separately they may deduct as accrued so potentially 3 if you started after Easter(2xMay, 1x August”) or 5 if before(assuming England),

What does your contract say about BH? Where I work your annual leave is treated separately to BH so you accrue the former but not the latter (except on mat leave).

Thanks all. My bank holidays are included with holiday days in my contract. So 38 days in my contract.

I assume you work full time.

38 days / 365 days x 214 days =22.28 days less 16 days taken = 6.28 days round up to 6.5 days.

£24,100 / 260 days x 6.5 days =£602.50.

Thank you very much

Where I work AL is counted in hours so it may be £582.11
