Hello

Please could someone give me some guidance/advise.
We had a new roof, on early 2024. We had a leak and showed this to the company we used and they knew this was the main reason for the new roof. Company sold it with a 10 year warranty and this is on the invoice.

We had the chimneys was repointed and the lead replacement etc - full job !!

We asked they reuse tiles if possible, but this was there discretion.

Now we have a leak from the same place we had before.

I emailed the company a month ago, they replied straight away asking for photos, sent with on 24 hours. Now we haven't heard back, I followed it up about two weeks ago and got a reply, it has been passed to the owner. Now nothing 😔

I've sent them an email again today as th problem is getting worse.

What next, if they don't reply ?

Thanks

Have you Googled the company to see if they have bad reviews? Any trade associations they belong to?
Can you send a recorded delivery letter to their address asking for contact?

Are they still in business?
Trading Standards?

What Mosaic said!
We recently had the roof re-done but have a 20yr warranty. In our case, most that were offering less than that didn't have the best reviews. Have you checked on company house if they are listed, dissolved etc?

Is there a company name on the invoice and if so, is it still trading, check on companies house?

KnickerlessParsons · 07/12/2025 13:58

Have you tried phoning them or calling round to the office?

Wowjustwow99 · 07/12/2025 14:03

Going to call tomorrow

Wanted to know where we stand legally

Just a side note, that we've been trying to get in touch with a roofer for something else. This time of the year is their busiest time, so maybe they are just frantic. No excuse for not getting back to you, but maybe there is a legit reason?
