I have a non molestation order against my ex due to him being abusive for our entire relationship and it escalating with harassment, stalking, death threats, trying to turn my friends against me, false allegations to social services after we split. Thankfully the order was granted pretty much straight away at the hearing. Anyway he has now breached it a grand total of 5 times. He’s been wanted by police since 2 breaches around 3 weeks ago but now there are 5 breaches. Police also want to pursue a stalking and harassment charge in top of the non mol breaches. The officer handling my case said there’s a chance when he’s arrested he won’t be let out until it goes to court. He has previous violent convictions, a long string of previous domestic abuse before me. I don’t want to get my hopes up that all this will finally be over and end in a conviction for him and hopefully a restraining order. Does anyone have any similar stories or any insight to what I can expect? The police have been so supportive and so great to me. It’s just a case of waiting for him to be arrested and see what happens but I’m so scared of being let down again. He was put on bail earlier this year for the abuse against me but unfortunately no charges at that time. We’re also going through family court where he’s told horrific lies about me and is desperately trying to regain control of me through the court system. I don’t know how I’ve managed to keep going but all I want is for me and my kids to be safe. I’ve been receiving support from an IDVA for months now and she’s been great. I just need this to all stop so I can live my life again. Any insight or advice would be so welcome. I’m truly exhausted and scared for my life. Thank you ❤️
