Changing baby's name - Space 17 Birth Certificate

Hi!
Does anybody know, if changing baby's name on BC within 12 months, that this becomes their only actual name and therefore won't ever need to declare 'previously known as' ever in the future?

Note that you cannot change your child's surname this way.

If you make the change, this will become your child's only actual name. They will not have to declare that they were previously known as whatever name you originally put on their birth certificate.
