I would be very grateful for your help.
I brought a claim against my employer for disability discrimination and was successful in some parts. The ET Judge has put aside a day for a remedy hearing. I have revised and submitted the schedule of loss but am not sure what to expect on the day or what other preparations to make. I am a litigant in person.
It is a little while since the hearing so I plan to re-familiarise myself with the bundle and identify the key supporting evidence. I wondered if I need to make an opening/closing speech (an opportunity to remind the judge of the evidence, his findings and impact on me?)- but I worked really hard on a opening statement last time and it wasnt required: I just don't know what is expected. I wondered if anyone else had been through anything similar and what they did? I have tried to read up on Remedy hearings but most of the guidance assumes it is dealt with as part of the hearing so it just seems to be a brief add on and the guidance is all about the schedule of loss. Just wondered if anyone had any guidance or recommendations? Thank you.
