Outcome 21

Please could I get some advise on this. At 16 my son sexted someone online they were both 16. He didn’t tell anyone but was so worried about it that he reported it to the police. We had a home visit from a police officer at the local council who spoke to him about it and no further action was taken and was told it would be marked as an outcome 21. 5 years later son has a job in finance where they have said that an enhanced DBS check may be done because of visiting client sites. He is absolutely petrified now that the outcome 21 will show up on the enhanced dbs. I have tried to reassure him that it won’t be he is still worried. He has never been in any other trouble with the police. Please could someone help. TIA

Sorry if I sound clueless but would that mean it wouldn’t show up on an enhanced DBS?

It is not a conviction or caution, so it won't be included automatically. It could be included as non-conviction information, but only if it is relevant to the job and if there is reason for the police to believe that this was part of a pattern of behaviour rather than an isolated incident. So, on the information you've given, it won't show up.
