Anyone changed a child arrangement order?

I’m looking to apply to court to change a current order that has been made. Has anyone done this before? Was it successful and worth doing?
My child doesn’t want to see her father anymore and is very distressed about it. I can’t keep putting her through it.

How old is your child? that will have some weight on how successful you are at removing his access

Depends on the age of the child if under 16 whislt they will listen to their views of not wanting to go the court will also do what's in your daughters best interests, which unless there is a safeguard issue it's in her best interests to have a relationship with her father. And you should be encouraging this.

I tried to reduce DD’s contact with her dad after we had the CAO as she hated going and he would say inappropriate adult ( not sexual ) things to her. I was not successful, the curt deemed it better for her to have a relationship with him. They were wrong.

That’s sad isn’t it. I don’t understand why they don’t listen. But I have one child who isn’t ordered to see him so it doesn’t make sense to me. They are bother under 10 too. Cafcass were great so I’m hoping they are involved again.

@Mama1026 I found Cafcass awful, but at 12 DD decided she no longer wanted to see her dad and hasn’t since. she’s now 16

Oh no! Sorry to hear you had an awful experience with them. I know they say a relationship with the father is beneficial but in some cases, it really isn’t.
