Can abusive child molester ex be given supervised visits?

My husband assaulted me and our 3 month old baby nearly 2 years ago. I was given a non molestation order and no contact order and he wasn't allowed to contact me or our son. He has now filed a child arrangements order after not even seeing our son since he was 3 months old. (he's now 2).

He was abusive and I have Dr's reports, police reports, pictures and eveything to prove this. He also molested 4 kids when he was in his teens, 3 were his sisters. He is not denying the molestation but saying he only hit me in self defense.

He is asking for supervised visits. What are the chances he will get this? We are now going to fact find hearing as he is denying abusing me. I understand cafcass will have to do a repert but is there anyone who has been in a similar position and was the abusive partner given access to the child in the end?

Has he been convicted or charged with the sexual assault?

No he hasnt. His parents didn't report it after his sisters came out with it. It happened in his home country when they were kids and I didnt find out about it from his mum until recently. He is not denying it though and one of his sisters have offered to write me a statement for the courts.

I’m not sure you can use the molestation unless he’s been convicted somewhere. Otherwise anyone could get someone to say their ex had done that.

You need legal advice.
