Small Claims Directions Order

Can anyone tell me how long before a small claims hearing I should expect to receive a directions order please?

As I understand it this will set out when both sides are to exchange evidence and witness statements and submit all evidence to the court.

I have had a notice of allocation so have a date at the start of November.

The court system has already made a couple of errors sending forms to the wrong address so I am a bit twitchy and would like to know at what point I should contact them if I haven’t received directions.

I tried calling the helpline but it is more of an unhelpfuline.
If you can get through at all they frequently cut you off or don’t know the answer anyway.

My court date is mid October and I got the directions thing I think early July?

So you should have it by now I think.

Have you called the court you’re allocated to directly? Google the number if your paperwork is as devoid of usefulness as mine!

I only got the notice of allocation at three weeks ago so sounds like you are getting a lot more notice than in my area.
I tried calling the allocated court direct and it redirects to the national number.
Tried emailing my allocated court and they won’t answer.
Can I ask what in general the directions order said please?
Is it purely a date to submit your evidence to the other party and the court?
