Long story short, got a parking ticket while taking DC1 swimming. Failed to put parking permit on display as DS2 made a break for the main road and ended up chasing after them.

appealed on this basis and it was rejected.

is it worth appealing further? On the basis I had a permit but just failed to display.

in rejection letter they brought up id got a previous ticket which they had cancelled (can’t remember when this was but defo pre COVID).

advise appreciated

I’d just suck it up. Life’s too short!

If it’s worth your time, no harm in appealing. If your time is more valuable than the ticket (it should be!) don’t bother.

Yeah it’s not a massive fine, just not needed when I’m skint on maternity leave.

not that, that changes anything

Think my worry is how quickly they ramp up fees and fines if you appeal and if I miss one letter/ communication I could really be in trouble financially

DH appealed when caught at an illegally marked out box junction. He knows his highway laws! Did he get it rescinded? No. Of course not. It’s a money making illegal box junction!!
