My ex (not married) and I have a daughter and have been living together since we split last year in the house we share as joint tenants whilst trying to sell. He has a lot of money, I do not after being a stay at home mum for the past 8 years. Once the house is sold and I have some money behind me I intend to take him to court to get him to pay her school fees. I’m just wondering, if he has hidden all his money in a trust, would the court be able to enforce that he use that money or is it untouchable?

The simple answer is yes in certain circumstances. You need specialist advice.

Thanks for the response. I actually don’t know if he really has put it in a trust, I’m just going on what he’s told me. I just don’t want to waste money going after something that could be untouchable but I guess that’s the chance I’ll have to take!
