I'm helping a friend with a specific legal situation. Does anyone know where she can start with this? She's talked to Chat GPT, googled it to the nth degree and has contacted 16 solicitors to no avail. Her text is as follows:

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a solicitor with experience in OPG investigations and the Mental Capacity Act — ideally someone who’s handled LPA and Court of Protection cases. Would really appreciate any recommendations, especially from those who’ve dealt with similar situations. Thanks in advance!

We’re going to need more information.

If 16 different solicitors have been unable to offer advice or take the case on, or even recommend a firm who can, that would imply that this is a complex case and not really something laypeople are going to be able to advise on. What have the solicitors actually told your friend?

I posted it here incase someone has been through an OPG investigation and used a solictor that helped them. Don't want to share too much of my friends info so will recommend she starts her own thread so she's in control of it. Might be better off posting this on elderly care, might be a better place. Thanks!

I would start by contacting a STEP solicitor in your local area. https://www.step.org/directory/members
