Lost Funeral Plan

Not sure if I’m posting in the right place…
My father (late 80’s) says he paid for a Co Op funeral plan, decades ago. He’s lost his copy and Co Op say they have no record of it.

I’ve asked him to call a solicitor to see what can be done about it as he’s refusing to pay for another one.

The solicitor is not getting back to him. Any idea on who I should contact for help with this?

I’m worried about it being my problem to deal with one day.

It may be that he purchased his plan from another provider. You could try to trace his plan via Find my Plan | National Association of Funeral Plan Providers. Also, if he still has (or can get) access to his bank/credit card details for the period in question, he may be able to trace his payment. If both those routes fail, you may have to accept that he either didn't buy a plan or all records of it have been lost.
