I’m hoping someone here can help, me and my partner got into a massive argument, were he packed his bags and left.
for context we have a child together
we spent 1 weeks low contact only discussing our son, so I believed the relationship was really over..
we have now started communicating and both decided we don’t want to end our relationship and that we do want to make a go of things.
But in that week he left, I removed him from our housing and put a claim in for UC, when claiming they asked if I would like an advice payment, I accepted £300.. I haven’t touched it I just accepted so it was there if I need anything before my first payment.
but my question now is what do I do? I know I obviously need to close my claim, but can I do that before my first payment and after my advance payment..

How did you manage to remove him from a joint tenancy?

You notify them of the change of circumstances including the date he moved back in and you’ll have to repay whatever you weren’t entitled to. You’ll have been entitled to something for the week or two he wasn’t living there, so can keep that.
