Can someone give me some advice please, I got arrested the other night, I can't remember much, I was really drunk, I can't remember everything that happened as the station but i do remember telling them that i know some drug dealers and gave some names, can't remember what else I have said, the names I gave are just rumours, like I havnt seen these people since I was a teenage, they have everything I said on body cam footage, what will happen now ?

Just to add, once I sobered up, they took a statment and they didn't ask any question about any of the crap I said, I'm now worried I have put myself in the middle of something that I know nothing about

Did they release you pending further investigation, or with no charge to answer, or have you been charged? If the latter, you need a solicitor.

There’s not enough information here for anyone to advise you on much else. It’s unclear whether you were arrested on suspicion of possessing or supplying drugs, were questioned about others involved and effectively attempted to name accomplices, or just spoke a load of drunken nonsense about people not under suspicion of anything with no connection to you.

MadeForThis · 09/06/2025 21:40

Why were you arrested?

EagerFawn · 09/06/2025 21:51

Me and my mum got it to an argument and they arrested me for an assault, i honstly dont remeber much, spoke aload of drunken nonsense, I only remember bits & pieces, once I sobered up they took me for an interview and basically asked me if I remember anythink from the night before which I didn't, still don't, after that they let me go home, I didn't get charged with anythink

So you named people as drug dealers??
Why would you do that??

EagerFawn · 09/06/2025 21:57

Honestly I dont know, I dont know why I would say something like that, it's so out of character for me

Stripeyanddotty · 09/06/2025 21:59

Can you go back to the station and tell them you were making that up?

Annascaul · 09/06/2025 21:59

Is it out also out of character for you to assault your mother to the point police have to be called?

EagerFawn · 09/06/2025 22:02

Yes it is out of character, we was both drunk, I'm not a drinker(I'm not excusing my behaver) ive never hit anyone before

The shit scum need exposing, why else?

I doubt there’s anything further they can do, yeah you named a few dodgy people whilst absolutely obliterated but unless it’s something quite substantial and someone on their radar they’ll not be able to take it further - people say all sorts under the influence of alcohol. This is unless you’re directly connected to one of the names you’ve mentioned.. then if that’s the case I’d be more inclined towards being pulled in again. You’ve not been charged, learn from this and lay off the alcohol.

@MissyPants
She said the names she gave are just rumours, she hasn’t seen them since they were teenager.

Ah right, I missed that part, ok fair enough.
it's unlikely they will do anything without evidence, so I wouldn't worry.

I doubt they are going to act on the ramblings of a drunk person.
