Door cameras and recording

can anyone confirm, if you have a door camera on your own property and it records, do you ‘officially’ need a sign to say it’s recording?

If it captures images or audio from outside the boundaries of your property (e.g. people walking past on the street), you must let people know you are using CCTV, e.g. by displaying a sign that is visible from the street. However, if the camera only records images and audio of people when they are within the boundaries of your property, no sign is needed.
