How long for a CCJ to be issued?

To cut a very long story short I requested a CCJ back in February against someone who I did work for six months ago and still owes me £15,000. I have no further details other than when I go to view my claim it just says that I have requested the CCJ.

I have tried calling HM Courts & Tribunal services but they say they can’t update me on the claim and I will receive all further details via post.

My question is really has anyone done this recently and how long did it take to hear back from the courts re their decision?

No idea how it works now but once upon a time summonses were issued on the day the request arrived in the office. I suspect that has changed.

Something I saw the other day suggested deadlines for some types of process like Judicial Review were being missed as they required process to be issued by date x rather than the paperwork being lodged at the Court Office.

Well it would appear that “ask and you shall receive” has very much worked here! Just got home and opened the post to say the judgement has been passed and the CCJ issued.

was this one invoice for £15000?

or you carried on doing work for the client despite non payment of invoices?

@Pickedupsomethingsuss one invoice (plus interest & court fees). I’m one of many who hasn’t paid from this particular project despite confirmation and PoP from the end clients that they paid.

The CCJ has now been issued so now looking into the next steps.
