second application for pre-charge bail extension

Hi there, does a second application for pre-charge bail extension (with the magistrate) mean anything?
Does it mean something has likely been found?
I was told OIC don't apply for it unless they have a strong reason to, especially twice.
Can it also be extended a third time?
thank you

If bail is extended it just means that investigations are still ongoing. If they have enough to charge they should do that. The bail conditions are present to manage risk.

You can't be on bail conditions for more than 12 months and once a magistrate has authorised that is the last time it can be extended. However if someone has not been charged before 12 months they can remain 'under investigation' but there won't be any bail conditions attached.
