Need help.
I am litigant in person.
Dad has been absent for years.
I instigated mediation. He refused.
MIAM was issued and I applied to court via C100 for a name change and a lives with order as dad refused to communicate at all.

Court has ordered a stay of proceedings until BOTH parents mediate.
Dad still will not communicate.
How many times do I need to keep paying for mediation or how can I lift the stay?
Do I need to reapply completely ie another MIAM and C100 costs.
Barking on mind I already met the government's requirements in the given frame time to apply to court only to have them halt proceedings with no time frame. Order only states mediation. But he's refusing and not responding
I am so lost.

Go back to your mediator, ask them to contact your ex again, and if no response in two weeks, the mediator can complete an FM1 and you can return that to court with a C2 application to continue with the proceedings.

Thankyou. Looks like that would be my only option.
It's just such a shame I am having to do extra mediation sessions when I had already followed and complied with the government guidelines.
What gets me is the un timed stay of proceedings suggestion there is no time limit on when the other party is to comply with the order so in affect this could go around in circles if the stay is not lifted. The other party has not moved nor changed his number he just completely refuses to engage with anything.
