MANAGING AGENT CAUSEING ANXIETY

Hi everyone, I've started this thread due to ongoing issues with my landlords son who before he was licensed use to walk in without me granting consent with notices, walked in well i was in bed one time has also stole from me which was my child's Nintendo switch all reported but due to lack of evidence they couldn't peruse it. He's now threatening to take my wheelie bin which i bought myself and store it via the entrance that's shared with me and a business underneath. However the business and managing agent keep challenging me saying it's a hazard im not sure why as there's loads of space and it doesn't effect our walk way or get in the way. Only the business downstairs has any back entrance so my only entrance and axcess is the front. We've now got scaffold up with builders arriving Monday the managing agent said he's calling here with the builders to check the front living room i have no objections to the contractors gaining entry its just the managing agent he tries to talk to me about things and intimidates me and makes me feel under pressure and isn't very nice at all. The time he walked in last i had private stuff in my bathroom that i hadn't had time to put in the bin which was degrading for me i had to call 999 and the operator stayed with me until he had gone. I really am so stressed out and miserable that this agent is now working for the landlord countless pf times ive reported this to the private houseing sector.

Move?

Whilst you've probably got "rights" enforcing them with be a PITA and not easy as you have found out. As nothing is major in the scheme of things but, to you, it does really matter and impacts you....so, take control! In your own time, move rentals to get the gremlin out of your life.

Is the bin inside the building? It's quite usual in buildings with shared access for tenants not to be permitted to leave anything in communal areas.

Move. How long has this been going on?

No its not inside any building its outside in this litter ally/pathway leading to mine and the business entrance but it doesn't effect our walkway its where it technically should be regarding where someone would put it.

For about 3 years the harrasmemt he bully's me when he comes here and tries making me move saying there's loads of places to rent just don't tell them your on benefits etc i don't know if he has people lined up to move in or not. Im a good tenant always pay rent never missed a rent payment etc. He gives excuses to come here gives 24 hour notice just to try intimidate me. I didn't agree to the last 24 notice and he let himself in.

No one seems to help rent smart Wales just log it but there's no outcome, I've had to resort to the police now as they seem to show more authority and help me more but alot of these situations fall under civil matters but the poeple who have the authority to do something don't.

If he wants you to move then why hasn't he served you notice?

To be honest, just move. It will be easier to do it whilst you can control the timing - it will be far more inconvenient if he serves notice and you have only a short time to find an appropriate place. You may end up compromising on somewhere you don't like, if under pressure to move.

You are lucky in that you are only renting with him as agent. You can move him out of your life if you move and banish the anxiety he is causing you!

Start looking today! Grab this as a positive opportunity. Go take a look and come back and tell us what options are out there!
