Hi all. Just a quick question.....kind of lol

My husband was arrested last month for punching my 15 year old daughter in the face, he was bailed and part of his bail conditions is that he is not allowed contact with me, my 18 year old daughter and my 15 year old daughter until Feb 2025.
He is allowed contact with our 7 and 4 year old daughters as long as his dad is with him.

My question is, we share a joint tenancy on a council house. How difficult is it to take his name off of the tenancy?

You need to advise the Council about the domestic violence, and ask them.

If you have a solicitor they could apply to the court for an Occupation Order. The council could then remove him from the tenancy.

Actually, they're married, so only divorce and the financial settlement will remove him from the joint tenancy.

Unless he agrees to be removed.
