Neighbour throwing apples at our window

Is it a crime for someone to throw things at your window? He have a tree that produces small apples, the size of cherry tomatoes. This neighbour kicked the tree in our front garden to make them fall down. He then picked some up and threw them at our window 4 times. What crime would it come under? He have CCTV of the incident but the police don’t seem to be interested.

The crime of being an idiot.
It's anti social..is he drunk by any chance because that's not normal behaviour.

Is the tree hanging over to his garden dropping apples everywhere?
My neighbour has a tree like that. Its right on the boundary and hanging over to our side. I spent many days picking up the stupid apples from our lawn. Also the birds grab them and place them all over our garden. My dog eats them and gets the shits.
Ive spoken to them and last year cut it all off on my side, but that thing grows like crazy.
Ive now told them if i find another apple on my side I will have it dug up.

Yeah this is because the tree has upset him somehow and rather than saying so he's throwing apples at your house

Is it a crab apple tree? He’s totally in the wrong and should speak to you about it, not throw apples at your window, but I would be inclined to cut the tree down and make it better for both of you.

I'd be inclined to keep the tree and make crab apple jelly for all your friends. It's delicious.
