Parental pay- continuous weeks.

Husband started a new job and a couple of months later I fell unexpectedly pregnant.

His parental pay policy means he would get an enhanced package 'if you have completed at least 52 weeks paid service at the expected week of childbirth'.

As pedantic as it might sound, how does one calculate a week!? Is it Sunday to Sunday and any week he worked in counts? Or is it from the day he started?

If it's counted from Sunday to Sunday then he will have completed 52 weeks.
However, if the week he started doesn't count as he wasn't employed by them on the Sunday, and was a 'part week', he will have worked 51.

He started on 4th June 2024, expected week of childbirth starts 1st June 2025.

Any advice gratefully received!
