Hi all
I have 4 children, 2 with my ex husband and 1 with my partner (unmarried)
We live in the house I had before me and my partner got together and it needs a lot of work (already done a lot of work)
The house is too small and we would need an extension. However the quotes we have got in are well over our budget.
We have looked in the area but again we are priced out.
I have a court order with my ex husband that says we can't move the child's school without consent from the court.
We also want to move for a better quality of life, where we live is very build up wirh nothing to do unless you drive.
Ex also lives in walking distance so he will not agree to move kids away. We are looking 45/60 minutes away to somewhere.
I believe that the move would be beneficial as we would be able to go out into nature more which the kids love and here we aren't able too. My middle child has ADHD and is so much better at managing his symptoms if out in nature if not he can get very aggressive.
Ex's visitation would be affected by 2 hours after school every Wednesday however this is the only change that would be needed and I can add an extra 2 hours ever other weekend to make up a bit of this time.
I am also happy to do all the drop off and pick ups but i would prefer to only do 1 but happy too if it means i can move.
Ex won't agree to us moving the kids school so I would need to go to court.
Solicitor says that it is just a case of logistics but I'm scared I will spend thousands going to court for them to say no then be stuck here with no anicablity with ex and no money to sort anything.
Anyone have any experience or know if moving would be possible.
