Child Arrangement Order Query

Hello
Hoping for some legal advice/common sense advice
Following a long stint in family court, the below agreement has been set.

Week One
Father collects child from school on a Friday afternoon and returns her to school on a Monday morning on alternating weeks
Week Two
Father collects child from school on a Tuesday afternoon and returns her to school on a Thursday morning on alternating weeks

There is some confusion between myself and my ex partner about how this works.

I believe that this works in the traditional sense of alternating weeks, I.e week one, week two, week one, week two.

My ex partner believes that it is week one, week two and then starts again the following month.

Please could you advise how you are interpreting it?

In a month it will be:
Week 1 - contact at the weekend
Week 2 - contact midweek
Week 3 - contact at the weekend
Week 4 - contact mid week.

Is he serious?

It's nothing to do with calendar months. The arrangement is for alternating weeks. The pattern continues as stated for weeks 5 and 6, then 7 and 8 etc.

What did he say he wanted? Did he want lots of contact? It seems odd for him to have agreed to an arrangement (he thinks) that involved not having contact for half of the month, but a decent amount for the first two weeks.

This is the only way to interpret it. Your ex sounds like a berk.

Yeah he wanted an increase, originally it was four days a month so has increased quite a bit to be honest

If it was his interpretation then it would be 5 nights a month, 3 in week 1 and 2 in week 2. So not much of an increase.
