How much chasing is too much...

I received some correspondence in April saying I was a beneficiary of a trust from my former workplace. I didn't hear anything for several months so I chased again and was sent the details at the beginning of September. I arranged all my documents and sent them off before the deadline (early October). Since I sent my last document I havent heard anything. I've now sent 4 follow up emails with no response.

How much chasing is too much? And how quickly should I expect a response to my emails? I found the partner mentioned on my documents online - should I contact her directly?

It's not a massive amount of money (about £5k) but it would be a lot for me.

Not enough information to be sure. If for example the amount available per person was dependent on the number of valid applications or other stuff needs to happen in the background then 4-5 weeks isn't that long.

That said it's easy in this day and age to send updates that allow expectations to be managed.

Thank you. I'm not frustrated so much due to the time, it's more the lack of communication.
