Can anyone help regarding tax avoidance in divorce I was a share holder and taken of .
am for liable we are now currently speaking through mediation. In 2020 when he first filled out the form e he added 3 wages slips the same not sure weather he then become employed by the company he works for rather than self employed.
also he is being accountable from 2012 to date but closed a company 2016 I questioned why I should pay for before that date as he was found out after the first company close . I'm just so confused. I had a solicitor however we had a heated discussion and he refused to represent me I really would appreciate some legal advice

I would instruct a new solicitor. This isn’t an issue to ask the audience about.

Hi OP, this all seems v specific - more than the avg MN thread can give. You probably need tax advice from a specialist. Lots of places will do 15mins free on video call to get started.

If your solicitor refuses to represent you, perhaps look for another? Plus try to keep your cool: it's all new to the solicitor even though you've been dealing with it for years. So cut some slack - they're not magicians.

You say your ex was 'found out' - was that unfaithful to you or in breach of his company's regs? or some other infraction?

Caught in tax avoidance sorry for the confusion. Totally understand regarding solicitor however I had paid out over 24k
I don't have the funds for another solicitor
