Hello, my children’s dad is refusing to give them back.
he has since applied for universal credit which I had to prove I was 1st contact for all. I did this.
however he has also applied for housing and I was questioned and they decided that I provide the family home even though he has taken them.
what will happen to him now? Will he get in trouble.

How old are the children? Unless they are teenagers and, therefore old enough to choose who they live with, you need to make an urgent application to Court for the return of the children to the mother. Your husband is illegally preventing you access to the children. This is not at acceptable. Do you receive Child benefit? Also get onto Universal Credit and explain what u hi our husband is going.

They are 4 and 2. Universal credit are aware that he is trying to claim for them well actually he only applied for one of them. I receive child benefit and I aim first contact for everything.

What's the issue here, the fact he has the kids, or the benefits?
