Can anyone tell me please what happens when a restraining order expires.

For example what is expected of the person who was given the restraining order if they have followed the instructions of the order over the years it was in place.

Are you basically asking if the harrasser is now free to harass again? If so technically speaking yes. I hope you aren't the one with it against you!

When it has expired it has expired, same as a driving ban or whatever.
