Two men claiming to be Police Officers came to my home one morning along with a man and woman both had no ID and didn't provide me with their name.

One of the Police Officers told me the woman was porporting to be from a Council.

The Police Officer failed to provide me with the names of the unidentified man and woman but claimed that they had official eviction letters to telling me to leave my home.

The Police Officer did not show me what the letters said but claimed it was for an eviction. I told the Officer, that I do not know who the man and woman are and that I haven't been taken to court. He didn't tell me what the eviction was about.

He also said that he was at my door to prevent a Breach of the Peace. There was no disturbance and no complaints from my neighbours. I am not in rent arrears so I have no idea why a random man and woman appeared at my door with two Police Officers.

I made a complaint to the Police station (via the Police complaints form in my local area); however, I received a few emails from a male Police Officer claimed an unknown woman lived at my address, which is not true. This could be the Police Officers way of getting out of a sticky situation.

The Police Officer also said he didn't have any court orders for an eviction nor any other documents in relation to the visit to my home.

Finally, I was unhappy with how the Officers email ended stating they can force entry anytime to my home in the future. I assumed he meant without any court order.

I live at my home with my daughter and feel unsafe by having this threat by men. This is an abuse of power and misogyny.

Hopefully I won't be harassed any longer, especially as me and my daughter
are disabled.

I am really concerned with mine and my daughter's safety after making a complaint to the Police about this matter.

I have recorded the incidents which contradicts the Police report.

Do you have a copy of the letter or notice they showed you? They must have given you a copy?

When did this happen?
Were they in uniform?
How have you complained to the police?

Who is emailing you from the police? Is it the same officer who allegedly came to your address or someone else.
This all sounds a bit odd unless there's a massive back story.

Smells very fishy to me.

If you're to be evicted then, assuming normal tenancy etc rules, the owner would need a court order for that. The people giving effect to/enforcing such an order would be bailiffs/enforcement officers; 'civilians' not police.

It's not up to the police to explain what the letters were for - they had no legal power in that situation other than to, as he said, prevent a breach of the peace.

It's the council you should be chasing who have turned up with eviction letters.

Find it hard to believe that government officials have arrived with paperwork and then refused to let you see it though.

You're focussing on the wrong thing here.

They sent me a copy of a letter which was not signed. This was via email. The letter stated they would evict me from my home and that I should give in my keys, that's all.

This occurred three weeks ago.
I did complain to the local Police, it was the same Police Officer that appeared at my door that replied to my complaint. He said, they'll be coming to evict me in the future.
I've never been in trouble with the law/Police, so this is rather scary for me.

That's what I'm thinking too. The two people (a man and a woman) who claimed to be from the Council didn't give me their names, nor did the Police Officer tell me who the two other people at my door were, despite me asking for their names.

Well, they didn't give me a notice it was just a letter stating I have to leave by a certain date and hand in my keys otherwise they'd force entry. The letter wasn't signed.

Is it possible they have mixed you/your address up with someone else's?
I used to live on a road (let's call it Bakers Rd) & very nearby was a Bakers street and a Bakers Place as well. One night the police hammered on the door asking for a male & when I said he didn't live there they didn't believe me & asked to come in to see if he was there.... I asked them to double check the address on their paperwork & it was actually Bakers Street not Bakers Rd.
You mentioned a woman's name you haven't heard of.
This all sounds stressful & upsetting, hope you can resolve things.
I'd be speaking to the council if I were you, all sounds like a misunderstanding/mistake on their part.

If this is true, the letter on the email must have been on headed paper
With a phone number on of who sent the letter

They definitely should have checked the address before making accusations though?
Could it also be possible that you could have been mistaken for a previous occupant, possibly one with outstanding debts?

I'm not sure who the Landlord is. The Council says their my Landlord but I'm not sure if the lady and man are from the Council as they had no ID and refused to tell me their names.

They put my address and my name on the letter. But I'm not in any arrears I'm in credit with the rent.

My daughter was asked to move to a flat in a very rough area eg. gun crime. There was no flat at the address she was sent to. She would end up on the streets. She's vulnerable. When she looked at the property which looked like offices, it was next door to a solicitors who deal with POA and similar issues. I was told what's to happening to us could be connected to that office.

I am in temp accommodation. I've tried getting privates rented but they want too much rent and a guarantor. Not sure that's legal.

I've never been asked to attend court for an eviction.

The background to this is that someone close to me was a victim of a serious crime. I supported them. I was told to stop complaining. This has been going on for about 18 yrs. Me and my daughter have lost good jobs, a previous home etc.

Me and my daughter are still suffering from PTSD because of ongoing harassment. I also know that support services I use are linked, and know some of the criminal's associates and family work for these. Some are psychopaths. I've grown up with them. They've indirectly caused a lot of people's deaths. Outside they present themselves as normal members of society but are they're not.

I pay rent to the Council. I do have a tenancy agreement; however, someone told me the tenancy agreement is dodgy as it says I'm an "occupier" an occupier as I'm aware is just someone staying at someone's house like a family member who doesn't pay rent or bills. However, I pay all rent and bills.

I've lived here for almost 5 years

I didn't fully say where the police were from because I don't want a knock on my door.

I wasn't provided with a Safety Certificate when I moved into the property. I found out I cannot be evicted because of the state of the home. If I don't pay the rent or cause problems there's reason to evict me.

Not fully sure who the owner of this flat is. Hopefully not a gang.

I say gang because in the US criminal gangs are forcing people from their homes illegally.

Think this may be what's happening to me and others.
