Agoraphobic and summoned for jury service

Hi all, I am currently suffering from poor mental health, including agoraphobia and have discovered that I am being summoned for jury duty in September. The odds of me being better by then are not great, considering I've been agoraphobic for 18 months.

I have asked my GP if he will provide an excusal letter (apparently they charge for this... great). Provided I can send this across, what are the chances of me being granted an excusal?

I'm pretty sure that as long as you get a GP letter you'll be excused.

I had one, years ago, due to SPD in pregnancy ..completely different I know but an example that the court would "believe" a GPs assessment/ judgement

We used to do a generic letter that said "this person has a medical condition that makes them unsuitable to served as a juror. In Scotland we weren't allowed to charge for these
