Any conveyancing solicitors around?

Hi,

I am trying to find out if I can buy a tiny strip of land next to my house and put it straight onto the same title as my house? Or would there be a period when it was in my name under a separate title before being added to the house title as a subsequent step?

Thank you.

My understanding is that the titles can be amalgamated at the same time that you purchase the land.

However, the Land Registry are not required to do this and you have to write a letter explaining why you want them to do it and any supporting evidence to back up your reasons.
