Has anyone successfully done a section 1 application for school fees from ex partner?

I presume you are asking if anyone has been a party to proceedings. If what you are seeking is advice on whether you stand a chance you really need to be speaking to a solicitor.

Generally the child needs to be already enrolled at private school for a court to consider ordering the parents to contribute fees, unless one parent has extremely high wealth and there are no good local state schools. The court won't order a parent to pay when they clearly cannot afford it, and both parents will be expected to contribute where their incomes and financial resources allow.

sorry I meant schedule 1
son is already at private school but I have always paid - ex p has sufficient funds to at least make contribution
