My aunt is suffering from dementia and is now in a care home. Her daughter, my cousin, has power of attorney. The daughter is suddenly spending huge amounts of money, despite previously claiming hardship, new car house renovations, expensive foreign holidays etc. She said the money is coming to her anyway when my aunt dies. She hasn't actually said she is stealing her mother's money but it seems likely. That doesn't sit well with me and I was wondering if there is somewhere I can report this?

Office of the public guardian

Adult Social Care

As above, report to the office of the public guardian

You could also flag it with the home, who will raise a safeguarding concern with social services. This is likely to be addressed much more quickly by social services than by the OPG.
