Premium bond win after probate?

After making a mistake applying for probate, I am currently re-applying which has been very tricky. Mistake I made was that on the probate form I put that all my dad's assets were joint with my mother (his sole beneficiary) whereas in fact around £30k of premium bonds were in dad's sole name. Probate was granted, but then my mistake was pointed out by a family friend so I am reapplying.

My concern is that it is possible there are prizes from the bonds, and I cannot find this out or redeem/transfer the bonds them until after probate. But if there is a significant win, would this affect probate in any way?

Very grateful for any advice.

Your dad's premium bonds will continue to be in the draw for one year after his death. Or until probate is granted and they can be cashed in.
If you have his holders number you can check his wins and they will remain his wins until probate is granted and you can cash the whole lot

It would only affect probate if he hit inheritance tax levels. Ie a million .

Thank you so much! Sounds like I can just go ahead, we are not at inheritance tax levels. Thanks again!
