Legal Aid Contributions

Hi all, NC for this.

Back in March I got a non mol granted against my ex for 12 months. I had initially contacted NCDV for support, who instructed a solicitor for me and the matter was dealt with pretty quickly. 1 court hearing and about 3 weeks sporadic interaction between myself and solicitor via email/call.

Legal aid was granted but I was made aware that due to my income I'd need to make a contribution. After the matter closed I was told this would be around £50, which has now been cleared. However today I have recieved an email from the instructed solicitor of their full fee breakdown that they will be submitting to the LAA, which is totalling around £1500. It's not clear if I'm now going to be made to pay further contributions for this and how much.

Is it now going to be the case that im going to be stuck with a hefty bill to contribute to this?

I'm currently pregnant and due to go on MAT leave soon so an unplanned for expense will be a big hit to me if this is the case and I'm panicking. It just seems a whole load of expense for protection.
