Forfeiture - residential

Has anyone had any direct involvement of forfeiture on a residential property. ie when the freeholder exercises their right to repossess a property due to breaches of the lease/covenants? I know it's rare, but I also know it does happen. But online info for lay people seems to be thin on the ground.
