On Christmas Day last year I ordered a ring from a company called Glencara. It cost nearly £500. I paid with a Bank of Scotland credit card.
It didn't arrive until January 19th. Unfortunately it was the wrong size, so I sent it back for resizing, on January 20th.
Fast forward six weeks, and several emails later (which Glencara completely ignored) with me wondering when (if?) I was ever going to receive this ring, I decided to ask the bank to intervene.
The bank immediately refunded me the cost of the ring.
Upon discovering this, Glencara magically managed to send me an email, promising me the ring on March 29th.
I emailed them back telling them not to bother, as I had had a refund, and didn't want the ring anymore. In fact, I'd ordered a different one by that time, from another company.
Anyway - to my dismay, the first (Glencara) ring arrived on April 3rd (so not March 29th, but heigh-ho).
I posted it back to them and even emailed them the proof of posting.
Unbelievably, they emailed me back, saying that they couldn't refund me a ring which was ordered last December(!) and they were going to send it back to me once they'd received it. They were also planning to reclaim the cost of it from the bank.
The bank have been very good throughout, and are dealing with this for me, but what is the legal position? Glencara say that goods can be returned for any reason within 60 days of receipt.

How is it delivered? Can you refuse the delivery?
Maybe an honest review on their website might prompt them to accept your request to cancel the order and keep the refund.

Was this a custom made ring?
Did you give them the wrong size when ordering or did they send the wrong size?
