Looking for some advice inherited half my mums house when she died and now my step dad has died his son has inherited the other half via probate.

his son is going to buy my half from me, we have agreed a price.

do I need my own solicitor to execute the transfer of the house and oversee the monies passed or can I use his that's dealt with the full estate of my step dad?
*it's in Scotland if that is relevant

You need your own solicitor. Make sure you get a couple of valuations before you agree a price.

I would imagine you need your own solicitor due to any conflicts of interest.
