Medical Negligence firms that you recommend?

VERY long story short. I have a no win, no fee medical negligence claim with a certain firm. Sent over all the necessary documents, signed the paperwork and was told that I had a strong claim. This was in Spring 2022.

By December 2023, I must have sent about 20 emails to the firm as I had heard absolutely NOTHING since Spring 2022. Finally gave them a call and I was told that the solicitor that was handling my case had been so backed up with claims that had been delayed due to Covid. He in court dealing with cases from 2019 and hadn’t caught up to 2021 yet (the year that my claim was from).

I was told that a new solicitor would take over my case and which I asked him to confirm in writing. I have emailed the new solicitor 4 times. We last spoke 2 months ago when she said that she was requesting a file transfer. I sent an email today asking for an update and she unexpectedly gave me a call.

The new solicitor basically said that nothing has been done in 2 years and we’ll have to start from the beginning. She doesn’t have one detail about the case as she hasn’t been provided with the file. She’s now asking me to retell the story of what happened and ALL the necessary medical information. I’m pissed to say the least. 2 years has been wasted and I don’t have any trust in the firm.

I probably didn’t need to tell such a long story but I’m quite annoyed. Does anyone have any medical negligence firms that they recommend? Preferably ones that have no win, no fee as I’m poor! I’m based in SW London. Thanks

Thank you for responding. I’m not a homeowner so no home insurance there!
