Supervised contact

Hello, I'm just wanting to hear other peoples experiences on supervised contact and court. I'm going through it myself with my children and would like to know if it's true what they say when they ignore children's feelings and make the child have contact.

How much weight the child's feelings carry depends on the child's age and understanding. Contact may be ordered for a 5-year-old even if they don't want it. However, once the child reaches their early teens, the court is unlikely to order contact against their wishes.

The children's wishes do carry some weight especially when old enough to vote with their feet. Is this private or public proceedings?
