Domestic abuse - financial control help

I'm not asking for myself, but somebody I work with.

I won't go into detail as it's not my story to tell. She left an abusive relationship where a lot or the abuse was financial control.

Is there any such thing as a standard legal letter that can be sent to all finance providers/banks to make them aware of the situation so he has no ability to meddle?

Citizens Advice or a debt charity should be able to help especially if the ex took out loans etc in your colleagues name. If they did then it's also fraud so would need reporting to the police.
