TUPE

My BIL has been Tupe-d across to a new employer (600 employees were tupe-d over), all done legally and correctly

Now, because the job BIL did is not required in the new company, he is being offered 3 alternative roles, some elements of each role are a little like his old role, but overall it will be as if he has an almost new job

I can't see how the new company, to which he was tupe-d, can do anything else, as his old role doesn't exist in the new company

But what if he hates the idea of ALL the offered roles?

He doesn't want redundancy

Is the new company ALLOWED to change his role so dramatically?

It's been 3 months since the TUPE

I would recommend ACAS for proper support.

My job was deleted in a restructure and I was offered 1 of 3 jobs. They had a redeployment process they had to follow but I cannot remember the details.

Provided they have a good economic, technical or organisational reason for the change, and it is not being made purely because of the transfer, yes, they can make the change. Your BIL may not want redundancy but, if he doesn't want any of the roles on offer, that may be his only option.
