Legal aid eligibility

The form asks about savings. I have about £15k in an account but debts are at least double that and no property. I have separated from my abusive ex and he is the only earner as I have a child out of school due to SEN and mental health problems. Where do I stand on this financially?

https://www.gov.uk/legal-aid/eligibility i think you have to have less than £8,000 the best thing is to make appointment for citizens advice bureau who would be able to advise. if your ex is abusive and you have proof of this you could file a non molestation order via the courts which stops him from contacting you or your child.

Legal aid

Legal aid helps pay for legal advice, mediation or representation in court - see if you can claim.
