Criminal injuries Compensation scheme

Hi, just wondered if anyone has experience of this scheme, is it easy to obtain if you’ve been the victim of a crime? I’ve read the eligibility criteria and on the face of it it should be, but aware that this is a government department we’re talking about… thanks for any input.

Apparently I was entitled... Never felt like I would have enjoyed spending the money.... So I didn't claim..

@Snowydaysfaraway I’m sorry you’ve been through something like that.

For my part I feel like it would be a way of them returning to a place where they should have been. Redressing the balance, if you like.

Victims support has helped my daughter put in for it.. but she's to wait for the sentencing.. he will probably get 2 to 4 years.
