Parking Eye

Hoping someone can help me. No fine yet but I am worried.

Basically I popped to my local homebase to collect an online order earlier today. Then went on on to two other shops. Was in the car park no more than 35 minutes total. You are allowed 3 hours. I then had to return around 90 minutes later to return the entire order due to it being the wrong size and some items were damaged. It was my only opportunity to get back to the store. We were then literally 5 minutes.

It was then I noticed the no return within 2 hours, and obviously I did nip back as it was my only chance to return. I can prove all my shopping and times.

Am I likely to get a fine or will I be ok as I'm well within the 3 hours allowed. I'm so annoyed I didn't see the sign earlier as we were there so little time

You should be fine as it was under 3 hours in total. The no return rules are to stop people parking for 3 hours, driving round the block, coming back and parking for another 3 hours.

I'm hoping that will be the case otherwise I'll kick myself as we weren't there very long at all

They may try, but you appeal the parking charge (it’s not a fine) because it would be unfair.

If you do get a parking charge go on the Pepipoo forums (yes really). They are a bit abrupt, but they will help you through.

Thanks for the advice. Hopefully it doesn't come to that but I will if I need to.

I just know how ruthless they can be so though I feel it would he grossly unfair, I wasn't even there 1 hour total and that includes the entering and exiting both times, I am worried the letter will come through the door
