A good friend of mine sold her house last spring and has been travelling. She has heard via old neighbours that the new owners are going to sue her for not disclosing problems with the house. Hopefully this won't happen as there are no grounds but she is worried and wants to be prepared in case.
She had legal insurance on her old address but obviously that has been cancelled. She hasn't access to the paperwork so can't check the small print but is wondering if the buyers do take her to court would the legal insurance she had on the house help as it relates to the house and cover she had at that time?
She is going to be buying a new house. Would it help to use the same insurer?
Anything elso to consider?
Thank you.
